What makeup should I use to cover up dark circles?

No matter how much sleep we get some of us just can’t shake off dark under eye circles. This is due to the fact that for many, dark circles are hereditary and sufficient rest does little to alleviate them.

For those looking for a quick fix, a makeup corrector may be the answer. Ladies and gents with light to olive complexions can benefit from a peach corrector, while those with dark to deep skin tones would use an orange corrector. You can also be creative. Red based makeup products like lipsticks and cream blushes can sometimes do the job, however, I always recommend peach/orange correctors because they are specifically formulated for correcting dark spots.

Correction is important because it helps to conceal, or "cancel out" discoloration under the eyes, as well as other forms of hyperpigmentation on the face that a foundation and concealer alone just will not cover. Sometimes a foundation or concealer just isn’t enough or can leave a grey undertone to your complexion. The end result of using a skin correctors is a flawless finish that allows your foundation and concealer to apply true to colour on your skin. Skin correction also ensures you don't pile up on the foundation or concealer, which allows you to avoid a heavy finish because the corrector would have done the heavy lifting of hiding facial discoloration.

Lots of companies create a peach or orange corrector. You just have to go out and try one out.

Check out some of my beautiful clients I’ve used peach/orange correctors on.
